Cactus Crusher Virtual Race

After a few years off, the Cactus Crusher virtual race is back! 

For 2025, all proceeds of the Cactus Crusher race will benefit Rising Mountain's Coaching Coach Nicole. Coach Nicole spent part of 2024 and 2025 battling breast cancer. While she's thankfully cancer-free now, she will need continued follow-up treatments and will be dealing with medical billing for years to come. Coach Nicole has been an integral part of RMC since 2022. We are honored to be able to give back a small amount of support that she gives to so many of her athletes and community members.

The virtual race is open to anyone who wants to participate! Click below to register via UltraSignup.

Pick one distance to run or walk at any point over the course of the week of April 7-13.  The chosen distance has to be completed in a single, consecutive run, finished no later than midnight on Sunday, April 13 (can be completed earlier). 

• 5 kilometers (3.1 miles)
• 10 kilometers (6.2 miles)
• 13.1 miles (half marathon)
• 20 miles (can submit any run longer than 20 miles to qualify)
• 50 kilometers (ultramarathon)
• 1 mile kids' fun run 

Run the distance at some point in time during the week of April 7-13, on a route of your own choosing.

• GPS data is required
• Can tag RD on Strava (@Eve Rebennack) or email RD (risingmountainscoaching@gmail.com) Strava or GPS data (can submit any tracking app or raw data from watch) 
• Results will be verified and posted on Ultrasignup after August 29, and then finisher awards will be mailed.

Finisher awards: 

• Cactus Crusher wooden medal made by Sparkle Lab Art (guaranteed only if register by Sunday, April 6). 
• Rising Mountains Coaching vinyl die cut sticker
